glimpse: white dress party, historic kemerer museum photography

This night was filled with fashion shows, live music, a photography exhibition and a lot of class. When we are asked to photograph Bethlehem events, they are usually outside, very casual and laid back. It was a nice change of pace to be able to attend a white dress party and capture more of the art scene. It was a great night and we can't wait for the next event.

glimpse: Danielle + Frank, Packer Memorial Church + Steel stacks wedding photography

Our most recent work is from a stunning Italian wedding that took place in the heart of Bethlehem. Danielle and Frank were referred to us by our good friends at Artfully Elegant gallery (thanks Artfully Elegant!). Their love for art and the downtown made us the perfect match for their big day. From classic Main street, to the fun and upbeat Musikfest Cafe, this wedding was out of this world. The only regret we have is not trying a piece of rum soaked cannoli cake. Mr+Mrs.Matarazzo, we wish years of happiness to you and your families. Complimenti!

Hope all is well, Mercedes + Tim

glimpse: Blueberry festival, burnside plantation photography

Tim and I had a really fun and relaxing day hanging out at the Blueberry festival in Bethlehem. Everybody was enjoying the music, craft tables and of course everything blueberry. Perfect weather, good food, and hanging out with your husband...what more could you ask for? My favorite photograph is the police horses during their demonstration ( It was pretty impressive in person). If you like good old fashion fun, the blueberry festival is the place for you. Can't wait for next year! Have a great week everyone.

glimpse: self portrait

Self portraits are an interesting subject that date way back and can be found among all mediums of art. Why do artist create self portraits?  I never had one drawing class or painting class that didn't require a self portrait at one point, and now I believe it is an invaluable practice. To many of us self portraits may come across as vain, like a creatively approached selfie, or just a very cheap way to practice your skill, and sometimes they are, but to me a self portrait creates a degree self induced vulnerability, which is a good thing. Artist have a way of being very critical of their own work, and I feel that this negative self awareness can be one of the biggest things standing in the way of truly making the art we are meant to make. Self portraits help you to become more transparent, they give you the opportunity to render yourself as you feel, and most importantly allow you to approach yourself and your art from a new perspective. For whatever the reason I think their fun, retrospective, and an overall important practice. These handful of shots were made within minutes, playing with the shadows on the front door, and it's amazing how simple shapes and gestures can stir imagination. Mercedes thinks it looks like me gazing out a train window as it speeds by.

Hope all is well, Tim

glimpse: kim + Stuart, saucon valley wedding photography

This hometown wedding was beautiful, fun, and packed with loving friends and family. I knew Stu all the way back from high school and we had the pleasure of meeting Kim several times over the last few years. They are truly a charismatic couple and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We were so happy when they asked us to photograph their wedding, and wouldn't have missed it for the world. We couldn't be happier with the photographs and hope you love them as much as we do. Congratulations again to you both, and thank you for letting us share your day with you.

Hope all is well, Tim + Mercedes

Glimpse: Honey wine, burnside plantation photography

We are very excited to be photographing an amazing couple getting married at Burnside this weekend, and in preparation for the wedding another great opportunity arose. Burnside had asked us to photograph a Fathers Day event on mead making, and take a few photos of the grounds for them to use. Of course we were thrilled to do it and Burnside returned the favor by placing us on their preferred vendors list! And a couple of our photos got used on this blog!

Not a bad deal, and great way to spend the afternoon. If you're looking for that hometown, original rustic feel, Burnside is the perfect venue and it seems that they hold some pretty cool events as well.

Hope all is well, Tim + Mercedes
